Welcome to Save the Koala Month – the time of year when we celebrate the beautify of the Koalas and better still; look for solutions to protect our precious Koala.
A Koala Protection Act is essential and that, when enacted would stop the senseless slaughter of trees which causes Koalas (and millions of other species) to lose their home, get sick, get injured and disappear from landscapes, almost silently.
This month we have a fabulous new advertisement on Foxtel which encourages us all to think of the Koala and to plant a tree at our Research Station Quinlans.
You can also encourage your friends and fellow Koala lovers to support our fundraising if you think the Australian Koala Foundation is doing a good job in this space. Check ideas out here.
Next month, I will have some wonderful news for you; and I am going to be a speaker at the Narrandera Koala Festival on the 19th September if you are in the area. This Koala population is doing well and will be a joy to see.
Fond regards,
Deborah
