Koala Woman Says
If we are right about this electorate, then the koalas are mostly gone because of the fur trade and the highly fragmented landscape. No Koalas have been recorded at Guys Hill for five years, There have been a very few recent sightings east of Gembrook in Bunyip State Park but Koalas seem to have disappeared from Gembrook in the last five years. Latrobe gained a lot of bush from McMillan in the 2018 redistribution, but, unfortunately, no more than 10 Koalas.
