It’s your boy Elvis here – Golden Retriever, full-time good boy, and proud ambassador for the Australian Koala Foundation. Normally, I’m all tail wags and happy licks… but today? My ears are down. My heart is heavy. And my favourite tennis ball? Untouched.
Because … I missed out on the ultimate Golden gathering.
Yep. While I was back home chasing butterflies (and definitely not the neighbour’s chickens again), something truly golden was happening on the Gold Coast…
Goldens on the Grass 2025 – and I wasn’t there!
Hosted by the amazing humans at the Golden Retriever Club of Queensland Inc., the annual Goldens on the Grass event brought together so many of my fellow fluffy friends for a day of sunshine, sniffing, treats, tail wags, and just plain happiness.
I saw the photos. I saw the videos. I sniffed the screen. And let me tell you… the FOMO was real.
The grass looked greener than ever. The tails were wagging like crazy. And don’t even get me started on the goodie bags.
But don’t you worry – I may have missed 2025, but I’m already marking my calendar (and probably a few trees) for Goldens on the Grass 2026.
Until Then…
To every Golden who attended this year – I saw you. I love you. And I’m jealous of every single tail wag I missed.
But I’ll be there in 2026, ready to make up for lost pats.
